Dunwoody is a popular Atlanta suburb to reside in due to its proximity to Atlanta, access to MARTA, an abundance of retail shopping, and numerous amenities. The city was named one of the leading areas for young professionals to live by Newcomer Magazine and Forbes.com named the city as “One of the Top Suburbs to Live Well”. Award winning hospitals such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Northside Atlanta and Emory Saint Joseph’s are all located in the Dunwoody Perimeter area. Dunwoody provides everything from dining, shopping, arts and culture, to experiences in nature. Perimeter Mall, Perimeter Place, Perimeter Square, and Dunwoody Village all offer a variety of shopping choices. National brand stores, specialty stores, boutiques and locally owned stores can be found in Dunwoody. Residents enjoy dining in many of the upscale restaurants such as McKendrick’s Steak House, Capital Grille, and Seasons 52. Local favorites like the E. 48th Street Market Deli, Wright’s Gourmet Shop, The Village Burger, Café Intermezzo, Alon’s Bakery & Market, The Dunwoody Tavern, Novo Cucina and Vino Venue  are sure to please foodies.

Dunwoody offers a variety of unique cultural experiences including, The Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Players and the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. Throughout the year, Dunwoody hosts events such as the Fourth of July Parade, Dunwoody Arts Festival, Lemonade Days, The Dunwoody Beer Festival and numerous events at the Dunwoody Nature Center. The city is also home to several historic sites, including the Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church, which was built in 1829, the Dunwoody Farm House also known as the Cheek-Spruill Farmhouse (1906), and the Donaldson-Bannister Farm (1870).
